Welcome to Wingnut Woodstock – because no one told them about the brown acid… and because that’s about the only explanation for the small but obnoxious crowd that turned up in Washington, DC on September 12, 2009.

The initial goal of Wingnut Woodstock is to debunk the lies being spread by wingnut right-wing media about the attendance at the September 12 rally. We were there, we know what we saw, and you can check out some of the more compelling arguments in our Twelfther section.

But we know that they’re not going to stop ratcheting up the lies and the ability to quickly and effectively debunk them is becoming an increasingly critical need. We hope to build the site into a clearinghouse and community dedicated to debunking the lies and spreading the truth.
